With the rapid development of China tourism industry and the accelerated expansion of urban area,the public's recreational demand for short-distance ecotourism has experienced explosive growth and become diversified in recent years.Urban forest parks have gradually entered the public view and favored by citizens due to their unique ecological values,recreational values,and distance advantages.This essay reviews previous recreational demand and urban forest parks literature,summarizes the social service functions of urban forest parks,analyzes the recreational needs of urban residents,and design method to enhance the recreational functions of urban forest parks.Through the investigation of Dongjiao Forest Park,we have found that there is room for improving its recreational functions,and proposed corresponding landscape optimization methods and provide guidance for the future development of urban forest parks.Taking Dongjiao Forest Park as research object,we optimized the use of space,redesigned landscape and replanning recreation activities.After optimizing,the original greening landscape of in North China Arboretums developed into unique cultural urban forest park.Maximizing the social service functions to satisfy the recreational needs of urban residents.Based on the research on urban forest parks design standards and related theories of recreational demand for urban forest park,the main achievements of this paper are as follows:(1)we developed strategies and practical methods for landscape optimization in urban forest park based on afforestation(2)we design the basic strategies and methods for improving the recreational functions of urban forest parks.
