The Polder Landscape In Dongting Lake District

Polder refers to a kind of land use pattern that people build embankments and reclaim the land in Lakeland.The polder landscape is a kind of rural landscape that people reform the natural environment based on the need of exist and production.The polder landscape in Dongting Lake district has a strong regional characteristics because of its superior natural geographical environment,long history and splendid culture.This paper focuses on the following points:(1)Explore the internal factors of the information of polder landscape in Dongting Lake district,the evolution history of Dongting Lake district and the construction process of the polders in this district.(2)Induce and analyze the present situation of the distribution and classification of polders in Dongting Lake district.And select typical polders of different types to analyze the basic elements and layout.(3)Propose the landscape system of polder in Dongting Lake district and analyze it in different scales.The Dongting Lake polder landscape is divided into three subsystems—water subsystems,farmland subsystem and settlement subsystem.Analyze the landscape elements and their relationships in each subsystem.The Mingzhu Polder as an example,its landscape system is studied by graphical method in both mesoscale and micro scale.(4)Summarizes the characteristics and value of polder landscape,and the application ways of polder landscape research,indicating that the research is meaningful for the landscape planning and design.
