The 21st century is an age of aging.Public green space,as the most important outdoor leisure activity place for the elderly, faces the challenge of improving "appropriateness".With the advent of spatial assessment and planning tools such as GIS,public green space accessibility is widely used as an important indicator to assess whether residents can enjoy public green space easily and equally.Studying the accessibility of public green space for the elderly is conducive to improving leisure life quality of the elderly. It is also of great significance for increasing the utilization rate of public green space, improving the layout of public green space, and building a harmonious and friendly aging society.Taking Chaoyang District of Beijing as an example, this paper focuses on the study of public green space accessibility from the perspective of the elderly.Firstly, through reading and sorting the domestic and foreign literatures, the related concepts are clarified, the public green space accessibility evaluation methods are compared, and the network analysis method is selected as the research method of this paper; Then questionnaires and interviews are used to grasp the behavior pattern of the elderly in the public green space and to obtain the travel mode and travel time of the elderly to reach the public green space, which can provide a basis for further analysis; Finally, the auther use Arc GIS software to establish the Beijing Chaoyang District geographic information database, and use the network analysis method to calculate the public green space overall accessibility, the accessibility of different types of public green spaces and different walking ranges are obtained. And then the public green space accessibility status of the elderly in Chaoyang District is obtained.Based on this, the public green space accessibility optimization strategy is proposed. The study found that the way people travel to public green spaces is mainly pedestrian-based,and the length of walking time they can accept for different types of public green spaces is different; The public green rate in Chaoyang District is higher,9.07%,overall the performance is good, the service area ratio is 70.30%,but the current situation is not balanced. The public green space in the eastern and southern regions is less set and the accessibility is poor.Comprehensive parks, special parks and gardens provide the most services for the elderly in Chaoyang District; The strip public green space is convenient for the elderly to enter, and the service efficiency is high;In addition, the public green space entrance setting and the traffic network layout will also affect the accessibility of the public green space.According to the analysis results, optimization strategy is proposed from the two levels of regional scale and green space scale, including increasing the public green space service function, optimizing the transportation network, improving the public green space facilities, and enhancing the public green space attraction, etc. This paper completes the whole research process from theoretical research to model construction and finally to practical application. The public green space accessibility evaluation model based on the elderly's behavior mode can better reflect the current situation of public green space providing services for the elderly. On the one hand, this study can provide suggestions for the public green space to better serve the elderly and respond to the development needs of the aging society. On the other hand, the theory of other disciplines can be introduced into the study of public green space construction to promote multidisciplinary communication and integration.
