With the development of social economy,the urban population has increased sharply,the number of residents'trips has increased,the expansion of urban road network is poor,and traffic congestion has begun to become an obstacle to social and economic development in turn.Bus Rapid Transit System is an improved and extended type of conventional bus,but its characteristics are large volume,fast speed and shift,which are closer to rail transit.At the same time,compared with the construction cycle and cost,urban rail transit has incomparable advantages.BRT can solve traffic congestion in a short time.In the long run,BRT can also guide passenger flow,change the layout of urban structure and expand urban development space.It has become an effective way to improve the traffic situation.But there are still some deficiencies in BRT priority signal control.Based on the above analysis,this paper will adopt advanced information acquisition technologies such as GPS positioning,take intersection delay as the research object,and optimize the priority control method.Firstly,through consulting the literature to understand the concept of signal control of conventional bus priority,the control strategy and control process of bus signal priority are studied from different perspectives and levels by using various theoretical knowledge.In this process,the basic parameters of signal control and the types of signal control are analyzed?and the delay modes of signal priority intersection and the application of GPS detection equipment in public transport are defined and studied,which lays the theoretical foundation of signal priority.Secondly,in order to ensure that BRT vehicles have signal priority at signalized intersections and improve passenger traffic efficiency at signalized intersections,this paper applies HCM2000 delay model in American Road Capacity Manual to the improved peak passive priority model.The passengers waiting at BRT stations at signalized intersections are included in the category of total passenger delay at intersections,and the objective function is optimized.At the same time,in order to ensure the overall benefits of intersections,prevent BRT vehicles from over sacrificing the traffic time of other phases in signal priority,and prevent non-priority vehicles from waiting too long in non-priority phase,this paper proposes a signal timing model aiming at minimizing the per capital delay and the per capital delay at signalized intersections.Priority triggering conditions include vehicle triggering conditions and intersection triggering conditions.The urgency is introduced to the vehicle trigger condition,and the benefit function is introduced to the intersection trigger condition,so that the trigger condition can be concretized and refined.When the vehicle meets the self-triggering condition,the triggering condition of the intersection is judged.Finally,the BRT vehicle signal is given priority.Finally,combined with the specific example of Yinchuan Beijing Road-Tongda Street signalized intersection,the solution of peak passive priority model is obtained by programming.The canalization map of the intersection is imported into VISSIM simulation software.Through the software and VAP module,the priority is simulated before and after,and the results are evaluated.The results show that the proposed optimization scheme and the induction control module can effectively reduce the delay of signalized intersection,which has practical significance.
