The water resources in our country have been seriously polluted by nitrogen sources. Therefore,it is necessary for us to pay attention and monitor the nitrites, which is harmful human's body,to ensure the safety and health of drinking water for us.Based on the national standard method of drinking water by spectrophotometry determination of nitrite, this paper proposes whether ion chromatography can be instead of it to measure the nitrite in drinking water more accurate.By comparing the two methods, ion chromatography's linearity range:1.0?100.0 ?g/L,ion correlation coefficient:R2=0.9998,Resolution:0.79 ?g/L,Recovery:101.85?105.31%,Precision:RSD=4.50%,the above of all are better than the spectrophotometry. Therefore, this paper uses ion chromatography to determine nitrite content in water treatment process. The changes of nitrite content in water samples at different stages of water treatment process were monitored in past year,to find out the influence of disinfection process with nitrite. It was found that ultraviolet disinfection and ozone disinfection have a great influence on the content of nitrite in water from the experiment. So,these two processes were optimized in this experiment:1.under the premise of micro-organism the lower the uv dose, the less nitrite will be produced;2.the removal rate of nitrite increases with the increase of ozone addition, when the contention of the ozone reaches 0.33?0.38 ppm,the removal rate of nitrite could be maintained at 95?98%.At the same time, the characteristics of water sources from different factories were also studied, and it was found that the difference of nitrate content in water would also have an impact on ultraviolet disinfection and ozone disinfection process. So the water source of different factories also needs to be optimized separately for the water treatment process.
