This study investigates the values of recreational landscapes and tourists' environmental perceptions in the giant pandas valley(The Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding Dujiangyan Field Research Center for Giant Pandas).Panda valley is located on the edge of the giant panda habitat in Sichuan province,it is an important part of the giant panda national park and recreation activities region.Under the background of the pilot construction of giant panda national park, the relationship between environmental protection and recreation development has become a key issue that needs to be resolved. The study selected the panda valley as the research case and employed questionnaire survey to collect qualitative data from the visitors on site, using descriptive statistical analysis, cluster analysis, factor analysis and structural equation modeling to reveal the landscape elements and recreation value of Panda Valley. The analysis revealed that the relationship between local attachment, the overall characteristics of environmental behavior intentions, the types of tourists, and the cognitive structure of recreational value, local attachment, and environmental behavior intentions have reached the following conclusions:Firstly, the trail, forest landscape, landform landscape and animal landscape are the main landscape elements of panda valley. It is obvious that visitors have a high degree of recognition of natural landscape elements apart from the trails. The sculpture landscape, wasteland landscape and flower landscape are ranked lower because of their small number and not typical;the ecological value, future value, therapeutic value and aesthetic value have higher scores, which are the leading recreational value, spiritual value and entertainment value.Tourists in place attachment scored higher on sadness of destruction, just want to come, better to.Among them, tourists give the highest rating to “I would be very sad that the environment here has been destroyed”.It shows that tourists are very concerned about the environmental problems in the study area.“revisiting”,“self reflection”and “It is more important” get a lower score. The intention of compliance environmental protection behavior is higher than that of initiative environmental protection behavior.“don't enter”,“abide by the rules”,“dissuade damage” get higher scores,“environmental protection recommendations”,“voluntary contributions” get low scores.Secondly, cluster analysis is carried out on the basis of the results of principal component factor analysis of local attachment and environmental protection.Tourists in the study area are divided into four categories, and the third and fourth categories are women aged 25 to 34 who have received undergraduate education and work full-time.The dominant demographic characteristics of the first group and the second group are the same except for the willingness to revisit, that is,25 to 34 years old male with undergraduate education and full-time job.Thirdly, the structural equation model is used to construct the cognitive structural relationship between recreation value local attachment and environmental protection behavior.Recreation value has direct and positive influence on local attachment, recreation value has direct and positive influence on compliance environmental protection behavior and active environmental protection behavior.Local attachment has no effect on environmental behavior. The recreation value will not affect the environmental protection behavior through the local attachment. It can be seen that the level of the tourists' evaluation of the recreation value of the study area will affect the intensity of their local attachment and the intention of environmental protection behavior. To sum up,this study is conducive to promoting the basic theory of the cognitive structure relationship between environmental perception and enriching relevant empirical research results.Research conclusions are expected to promote coordinated development of ecological environment protection,as well as accelerate the construction of the Giant Panda National Park in Sichuan as a model for global biodiversity hotspot protection and a model for the world environmental education and ecological display.
