Lightning is a natural disaster.Transmission lines erected on the field and in the high mountains,which is very easy to be struck by lightning.Transmission lines will be impacted by huge overvoltage and lightning current after being struck by lightning,which may cause the line tripping,the insulator string flashover,even will cause conductor,overhead ground wire broken,cause outage even cause blackout accident.The trip to the line due to lightning strikes has become a major factor affecting the safety and reliability of the line.As the backbone network of Eastern Mongolia,110kV transmission lines have suffered lightning strikes in recent years,and some lines are very serious.According to statistics,about 87.37%of transmission line failures are related to lightning strikes.Frequent transmission line trip accidents have seriously affected the normal operation of the power grid and its power supply reliability,which greatly affected the daily life and production of ordinary people.In addition,the substation may be paralyzed and stopped running due to serious accidents.The possible losses will be immeasurable.How to take effective measures to prevent the line from malfunctionins due to lightning trip has become a very urgent problem.Question.In this paper,the principle of lightning discharge and the principle of lightning overvoltage of transmission line are discussed and analyzed.According to the analysis and calculation conclusions,a series of measures to improve lightning protection technology such as installing lightning arrester,improving tower grounding resistance and erecting coupling ground are obtained.These technologies and measures have been adapted to local conditions,combined with the actual situation of the 110kV Weijiamao 355 line and the Hongtujingzi 388 line in Inner Mongolia,and the measures for lightning protection have been made on the above two lines.According to the statistics of continuous monitoring,this time Lightning protection has achieved good practical results.At the end of the paper,the lightning protection improvement measures of the pilot line were promoted,and the geographical environment and hydrological environment of the transmission line in Inner Mongolia were comprehensively analyzed.The tower grounding resistance transformation was carried out,the coupling grounding line was added,the line arrester was installed,and the line insulation configuration was changed.Lightning protection measures for 110kV transmission lines such as parallel protection gap and reduction of lightning protection angle.
