The structure of unloading lock chamber is a new type of structure designed for ship lock,which has the advantages of reducing the earth pressure of lock wall,adjusting the internal force distribution of structure,improving the structure deformation and improving the anti-floating ability of lock chamber.However,due to the complexity of structural forces,there are still problems of imperfect design theory and immature analysis and calculation methods.In this paper,through model test and numerical simulation,the distribution law of earth pressure behind the wall of unloading type sluice chamber is deeply studied,and the reasonable buried depth and width of unloading plate is discussed,which has theoretical significance and practical value for further improving the engineering design theory and method.The model test was carried out at the depth of the unloading plate buried at the height of the upper wall h1 and the height of the lower wall h2 with a ratio of 4/6,and the ratio between the width of the unloading plate and the height of the gate wall was changed on this condition,so as to explore the reasonable value of the width of the unloading plate.The earth pressure of the upper and lower wall and the deformation law of the brake wall of the unloading plate are studied,on this basis,the approximate calculation formula of the earth pressure of the upper and lower walls is proposed and its rationality is verified.The finite element software ABAQUS was used to simulate the structure of the unloading lock chamber in multiple working conditions(including the buried depth of the unloading plate at hi/h2=4/6,5/5 and 6/4 working conditions),and the existing test results were compared with the numerical simulation results.The comparison showed that the numerical simulation results and model test results could verify each other.Based on this,the results of three buried depth conditions of unloading plate were analyzed,and the analysis showed that the structure deformation was most reasonable when the buried depth of unloading plate was h1/h2=5/5.Based on the measured results of the test and the earth pressure behind the wall and the displacement of the wall as the evaluation indexes,it is suggested that the buried depth position of the unloading plate of the structure is h1/h2=5/5,and the ratio of unloading plate width to gate wall height is 0.12~0.17.
