With the purpose of deeply understanding and putting forward to the engineering practice of corrugated steel plate shear walls(CSPSWs),this research investigates its’lateral load-carrying proprieties and hysteric behaviors under monotonic and cyclic loads respectively,based on numerical study with the finite element package ANSYS R12.0.The interaction mechanism between corrugated web plate and adjoining frame of CSPSWs is mainly focused,in order to provide theoretical basis on establishing practical design methods of CSPSWs.The numerical study of single-layer single-span trapezoidally CSPSWs structure with I-shape section adjoining frame are carried out in this research,with more contents as follows:Optimized design of corrugated web plate in CSPSWs are carried out.By pushover analysis on CSPSWs with different dimensions of web plate,shear curves of web plate are plotted,based on which the mechanical characteristics in each stage of pushover process are analyzed.Furthermore,taken normalized aspect ratio of web plate as varible,lateral load-carrying capacity design formulas are proposed.The interaction mechanism between corrugated web plate and adjoining frame of CSPSWs is investigated.First of all,by pushover analysis on CSPSWs with different adjoining frames and the same web plate,the influence of frames on lateral load-carrying capacity of web plate are investigated.What’s more,in order to maximize lateral load-carrying capacity of web plate,threshold bending stiffness of column is advised.Then,on the basis of optimized model,internal force analysis of column is carried out.Furthermore,based on the two key mechanic statuses of CSPSWs,the influencing factors and calculation formulas of the axial force,bending moment and shear force of the frame column are obtained.Moreover,the effects of upper loads,including the uniform load of beam and the concentrated load of column,on lateral load-carrying capacity of web plate are studied.The ideal failure modes and sequences in pushover process are analyzed with two typical three-layered single-span CSPSWs.Finally,by comparing with unstiffened steel plate shear walls(USPSWs),the differences from CSPSWs in lateral load-carrying properties are pointed out.Hysteric behaviors of CSPSWs under monotonic loads are investigated.The variation law of hysteresis curve,skeleton curve,ductility,equivalent stiffness,cumulative energy consumption and equivalent viscous damping coefficient of corrugated web plate with different dimensions is analyzed and compared with USPSWs with the same conditions.
