In the power system,high-voltage electrical equipment may cause corona discharge and external insulation flashover and other faults during operation due to damage,aging and pollution,which seriously threaten the safe operation of the power grid.Equipment failure discharge will ionize the air to produce ultraviolet light.The ultraviolet imager can be used to receive the ultraviolet and visible light signals generated by the discharge,and the image is processed and superimposed in the instrument to accurately detect the corona discharge position of the high voltage device.This paper designs a video hardware system platform with high-performance digital signal processor TMS320DM642 as the core to realize the fusion display of ultraviolet light and visible light images.First,the principle of UV imaging technology and the functional structure of the whole system are introduced.Secondly,the hardware part selection and circuit schematic design are completed.The main hardware design modules include: power management module,clock circuit module,JTAG circuit module,SDRAM and FLASH memory module,video interface module,video display module,CPLD module and serial port and network port communication circuit.Then,the schematic drawing and PCB design were performed using the Altium Designer hardware circuit design tool.Finally,under the DSP integrated development environment CCS software,the main modules of the system were debugged,and the results showed that the expected results were achieved.Ultraviolet imaging technology provides a new and effective means for the detection of insulation characteristics of power system.The development of an ultraviolet imaging device that can locate the discharge position,detect potentialequipment defects and eliminate faults in the bud state is of great significance for ensuring the safe and reliable operation of power system.
