Research On The Electrical Life Of Generator Circuit Breaker Of Pumped Storage Units

The generator circuit breakers control the startup and shutdown and the switching of operating conditions of the pumped-storage unit,which affect the operation of the pumped-storage system.Research on the electrical life of generator circuit breakers can accurately know their contact loss and provide reference basis for the overhaul and replacement of generator circuit breakers,at the same time,research on the electrical life of generator circuit breakers can also make sure how to extend their electrical life.Therefore,more and more people pay attention to the study on the electrical life of generator circuit breakers.In this paper,we use the current as reference,analyzing the applicability and rationality of accumulative current method,accumulated ablation factor method,weighted accumulative current method,Nk-Iki life curve method and relative evaluation method,summarizing the applicable condition and the rationality of these evaluation methods,according to the actual circumstance of generator circuit breakers,we select a appropriate method to evaluate their electrical life,in addition,explain the relative evaluation method which base on the Nk-Iki life curve through using an example.In this article,we firstly analysis the relationship between power and generator circuit breakers' current,besides,we studied how to change the active power and reactive power by adjusting the turbine power and the field current.Then,take generation condition and motor condition for examples,simulate and research the power's influence to generator circuit breakers' current in the shutdown process of pumped storage unit.And last,selecting the optimal voltage regulator magnification and minimum gate opening base on the analysis of simulating consequence,and thus optimize shutdown process of pumped-storage unit,in this way,the generator circuit breakers' current and the electrical wear of their contacts can be reduced,meanwhile,the electrical life of the generator circuit breakers also can be extended.
