The purpose of this study is to evaluate how Air Separation Unit(ASU)for Integrated Gasification Combine Cycle(IGCC)system can be transformed into most optimized indicator. The simulation package called Ebsilon Professional is used for the required study.IGCC contains various sections usually more than conventional power plant.Therein, having complex system involves many thermodynamic and environmental evaluation. The study involves the integration of ASU-GT section;particularly focusing on air extraction rate and its overall impact on the efficiency and thermodynamic properties of the IGCC plant. The complete IGCC power plant is simulated on EBSILON Professional for the simplification of ASU-GT section making it more flexible for operating parameters. After studying the effect of air extraction the most suitable combination of parameters would add 0-5%increment in performance of the plant as compared to current practices. The study compromises of two different experiment 1)study on N2 injection rate to gasifier and gas turbine combustor 2)effect of air extraction rate and N2 injection rate for the optimization of IGCC unit.
