Due to the continuing grim with energy and environment problems,hybrid electric vehicle(HEV),which includes the advantages of traditional and electric vehicles,has become the research and development emphasis of the automotive industry.Automatic transmission(AT)is an important part of HEV,and the multi-speed AT can improve the performance index such as dynamic and fuel economy.However,the design of multi-row and multi-speed planetary AT is mainly based on the inspiration and experience of engineers.It lacks a systematic theory and easy to miss the best solution.In this paper,the synthesis and design method of multi-row and multi-speed planetary AT scheme of HEV was explored based on the lever method.The main contents are as follows:(1)The connection mode and output type were analyzed and the lever connection schemes were obtained.Series,parallel,hybrid connection type of 3-row PGM were deduced based on the analysis of the connection of 2-row PGM.The optimal lever output forms were selected according to the simplified lever form of 3-rpw PGM.Then the lever connection schemes of different connection types were synthesized,and the setting position of link elements in lever was analyzed..(2)The hybrid lever connection schemes were synthesized.According to the lever connection scheme of 3-row PGM,the power input setting process was discussed with single and double motor hybrid system.Then the hybrid lever connection schemes were obtained,and the setting of link elements was analyzed in hybrid lever connection schemes.(3)The matching schemes of lever nodes and components were obtained.The lever nodes of 3,4 and 5 nodes lever were matched with the components of PGM.According to the output form of each lever,the transmission feasibility of each matching scheme was analyzed and the matching criterion of double-row parallel PGM was summarized.(4)The application of AT scheme was verified.Corresponding the matching scheme with hybrid lever connection scheme and setting the link elements,the AT configuration scheme of single and double motor hybrid system were obtained,and the maneuverability of the transmission scheme research was verified.Then the study result of AT scheme was expanded in the design of traditional single-power AT scheme.
