Trust between man and machine refers to the attitude of the operator that the machine helps in achieving goals in uncertain situations, which is vital in keeping the automation system running safely. At present, automated drive is the research hotspot in the field of automation system;due to the limitation of current science and technology, automated drive still needs the involvement of drivers. Thus,it is urgent to solve the trust problem between man and machine for safe driving and full utilization of the function of automated cars.Because road conditions are continuously changing, automated driving cars may exhibit different levels of reliability in various situations. Thus, whether the driver can comprehend road conditions(i.e.environment perception)quickly and adjust the trust level accordingly is vital for safe automated drive. However, previous researches mostly focused on automated car itself,no study has investigated the influence of the drivers' environment perception on the trust. To this end,the current study explored this issue to close the gap in literature. This research aimed at exploring how the change in information acquisition(Experiment1)and integration(Expeirment 2)of the environment influence driver's trust under the condition of L2 automatic drive. The result showed that drivers could better adjust trust level based on the road condition when their information acquisition was enhanced, even though the overall trust level was kpet constant(Experiment 1).Moreover,if further enhancing the driver's capacity of processing surrounding information, both the the capabilty of adjusting trust level and the overall trust level were inproved(Experiment 2).
