Energy dissipation technology is a new type of structural control technology,which consumes energy input from outside and reduces the dynamic response of the structure by energy dissipation components in the structure.Nonlinear viscous dampers are widely used in structural seismic design due to their good shock absorption effect,simple construction,low cost,wide application range and convenient maintenance.In this paper,the frame structures with non-linear viscous dampers are analyzed as follows:?1?The incremental state equation of frame structures with non-linear viscous dampers is given.The seismic response of structures with different damping parameters C and?is studied by computer program compiled by MATLAB.The displacement time history of the top floor of the structure calculated by MATLAB is compared with that calculated by SAP2000.Both results are in good agreement.?2?Based on the maximum displacement angle between storeys of damper evenly being arranged on each floor,the economical distribution of non-linear viscous damper on each floor of the structure is studied,and the economical layout scheme of non-linear viscous damper in each floor of the structure is put forward.In addition,the calculation method of seismic action of frame structure with non-linear viscous dampers is also given,which is compared with that of corresponding anti-seismic structures.By comparison,the results show that the seismic damping effect of the structure,in which the non-linear viscous dampers are economically arranged,is also obvious.?3?The damp of frame structure is complex when the non-linear viscous dampers are installed.Based on the principle that the total energy dissipation of the dampers in the structure is constant and amplitude of each regular coordinate of the structural vibration is constant,the equivalent damp ratio of each order of the vibration of the frame structure with the non-linear viscous dampers is analyzed.Moreover,the amplitude and time history curve of the regular coordinate of the structural vibration with equivalent damp are respectively compared with that of the structural vibration with non-linear viscous dampers.The results show that the amplitude of the regular coordinate of the structure with equivalent damp is basically the same as that of the structure with non-linear viscous dampers,and the first order time history curves of both structures have high coincidences.?4?Taking Maxwell model as an engineering example,the influence of support stiffness of non-linear viscous dampers on the damping performance of dampers is studied.The result may indicate that when the ratio of the support stiffness K to the damper parameter?C??exceeds a certain value,the support stiffness has little effect on damping vibration performance of the damper.The curve fitting may result in the conclusion that the value ofK/?C??should not be lower than that between the y1=4.82×108 e-8?and the y2=6520?-5.5.
