Heating consumption mainly includes space heating and domestic hot water in commercial buildings. With more categories, higher density, longer operation time and more terminals users of heating demands in commercial buildings than residentia l buildings, there is higher energy-saving potential in the heating systems in commercia l buildings. Therefore,it is urgent to establish a systematic method for energy-saving design and operation evaluation in heating systems. Some common problems in heating systems are proposed based on the detailed investigation and test in several projects. Those findings can be further applied in energysaving diagnosis and some improving opportunities or avoiding defects in system design process. The core consideration of heating system is to match the change from operation condition, which need the system itself to adapt to it.Therefore, load of heating system,or the actual demand from terminals, should be clear and accurate. The abstraction process provides four fundamental characteristics and corresponding descriptive indexes or design methods in heating loads of commercial buildings, space, time, behavior and function. On the other hand, energy modelling should be close to real operation conditions.A standardized energy balance relationship is established in this thesis;a more delicate analytic model for system energy consumption is developed in the domestic hot water systems of star hotels.More topics such as equipment match, parameter setting and system form selection can be discussed base on the model above.Furthermore,an evaluation indicator system for heating systems in commercia l buildings can be of significance in the structural design in merering and automatic control system,as well as continuous operation level evaluation in energy conservatio n management.Caculation methods and selection principles for reference value are also discussed detailedly in the thesis. To conclude, the heating systems in commercial buildings should achieve the targeted energy level as well as adapt to the change of the actual demand from termina ls.From the aspect of practical application, the research contents can be further adjacent to key nodes in the overall process energy conservation management of heating systems, especially in design and operation process.
