The application of the negative stiffness device to can improve the performacne of vibration control system.Consequently,using the negative stiffness in vibration control system can reduce the stiffness of the primary structure,which can reduce the displacement of the primary structure subjected to support excitation.The performance of the traditional tuned mass damper depends on the size of the additional mass and the frequency of primary structure.So it is feasible to introduce negative stiffness device to improve the performance of traditional tuned mass damper.The tuned mass damper with negative stiffness device is obtained when connecting the additional mass of the traditional tuned mass damper to the ground by the negative stiffness device.There are few studies on the tuned mass damper with negative stiffness device.The main task of this paper is to study the performance of the tuned mass damper with negative stiffness device.Here are main research of this paper.1)The principle of the negative stiffness to control the vibration of structure is studied by the single-degree-of-freedom system.The application of negative stiffness can not only reduce the frequence of primary,but can reduce the response of the primary structure.Then the equivalent negative stiffness is realized by magnetic force,and the performance test of the negative stiffness device has been finished.The test results prove that the performance of negative stiffness device based on magnetic force is not sensitive to the loading frequency and loading displacement.2)In this paper,the parameters of tuned mass damper with negative stiffness device are optimized based on the fixed-point theory,H2 and the maximum stability criterion.These three optimization methods can improve the performance of the tuning mass damper with negative stiffness,although the optimization objectives are different.3)In order to further understand tuned mass damper with negative stiffness device,this paper compares the performance of optimal tuned mass damper with negative stiffness device with traditional TMD.From the analysis results of this paper,the performance of device this paper proposed is obviously better than traditional TMD,which proves the feasibility of the traditional TMD with negative stiffness.4)By the results of this paper,tuned mass damper with negative stiffness device can not only reduce the response of the primary system,but can expand the vibration frequency band.Especially,its performance is not sensitive to the mass ratio.
