With the acceleration of economic globalization,container transportation has become the most important mode of transportation of foreign trade goods.The sharp increasing of container throughput puts higher demands on the operational efficiency and capacity of container terminals.A large number of shipping and port loading and unloading operations have intensified global warming problems.To deal with this problem,the low-carbon ports have attracted port operators.Therefore,in the management and operation of low-carbon container yard,the scientific configuration of low-carbon container port handling equipment plays a decisive role in the port's function of buffering and transshipment.After a lot of literature review,the author found that the existing researches on the selection and evaluation of container port handling equipment can be improved from following points:(1)Introduce carbon emission index,and optimize evaluation index system;(2)Consider index weights from multiple perspectives,making full use of historical data and the subjective initiative of decision makers;(3)Observe the influence of decision makers' risk preference on decision outcomes.In view of this,MADM-IEM was proposed for the selection of container port handling equipment.Compared with previous researches,the most important carbon emission index of air pollution is introduced,instead of qualitatively examining environmental factors,and the grey statistical method is adopted to improve and optimize the evaluation index system in MADM-IEM.Besides,information entropy method and simple additive weighting method are applied to determine the index weights from the two dimensions: the effect of indicators on decision-making and decision makers' emphasis on indicators,the latter weighted for the decision-makers appropriately in order to reduce the influence of human factors on the decision-making,and the TOPSIS method is used to rank the alternatives.In addition,the MADM-RPIEM model was established based on MADM-IEM,including MADM-PDIEM and MADM-GEIEM.The difference between these two models is different methods were used to introduce risk preference coefficients.The preference distance method was adopted in the former model,while the gambling equivalent method was applied in the latter one.Taking G port as an example,the sensitivity of decision makers' risk preference was analyzed,and the difference in performance between MADM-PDIEM and MADM-GEIEM was compared from multiple perspectives in the article.The empirical research show that:(1)According to the two models,the optimal choice of handling equipment all is rail-mounted gantry crane,followed by the empty container handler,and then the reach stacker,which proved that the two models are consistent.(2)The risk preference of the decision makers has a certain influence on the relative closeness of each alternative with the positive ideal solution,but the selection result is consistant,indicating that the evaluation model is stability.(3)The overall performance of MADM-GEIEM is better than that of MADM-PDIEM.The conclusions obtained in this paper are basically consistent with the actual situation of the low carbon port,which verifies the validity of the model and provides a strong theoretical basis for the selection of handling equipment in low carbon container port.
