With the in-depth advancement of global economy and the advent of information age,the competition faced by enterprises has been increasingly intensified.In order to seize the opportunity in the fierce market competition and achieve steady expansion,the enterprises must create their own competitive advantages,develop a development strategy applicable for the enterprises themselves,and keep implementing it for a long time.It is critical for any enterprise to find a rational development strategy based on the actual situation of the enterprise.Located in Xiamen Haicang District Taiwanese Investment Zone,Haicang Urban Construction Group Co.,Ltd(herein referred to as HCUC)was established with the financial investment of Haicang District,mainly engaged in the urban construction and urban management in Haicang District.For a long time,HCUC has failed to formulate a reasonable enterprise development strategy,leading to a variety of relevant problems.In the context of increasingly fierce market competition,HCUC will be confronted with greater challenges.Aiming to ensure the further growth of HCUC,help the enterprise achieve better development,HCUC needs to study and establish a set of corporate development strategy suitable for its own development.Firstly,the paper presents a review about some basic strategic theories and expounds the literature research situation at home and abroad,in which several classical analytical tools of Management Science are contained.Subsequently,a series of current problems existing in HCUC are identified in the paper,followed by analysis of the causes and proposal of corresponding solutions.With the analytical methods of PEST,Porter Five Force Model,EFE and IFE and so on,an analysis is conducted about the internal and external environment of HCUC.On this basis,some strategic alternatives are pointed out after analyzing the advantages,disadvantages,opportunities and threats faced by the Group.Meanwhile,the quantification is explained in detail with the aid of QSPM(quantitative strategic programming matrix).In addition,combined with the Blue Ocean Strategy and the development goals of Group,the development strategy of HCUC is summarized through the research and discussion in senior leadership meetings,indicating a vertical integration strategy should be implemented in the Group.A specific implementation plan is given after selecting the development strategy.Finally,the paper also provides the safeguard measures for the development strategy of the Group.The author aimed to solve the problems existing in the Haicang Urban Construction Group through the study,formulation and implementation of the corporate development strategy.At the same time,it is also expected that the study in the paper will not only be of great practical significance to the study and implementation of the development strategy of HCUC,but also serve as a reference for relevant state-owned enterprises to develop the corporate strategies.
