| With the increasing demand of measurement accuracy in steam flow rate,it has become an important issue to improve the accuracy of flow meters in practical applications.In this thesis,we focus on the orifice flowmeter and the vortex flowmeter which have been widely used in center heating.By analyzing the measurement errors existing in flow meters,we find the factors which causes most of the errors.Some practical strategies are presented to reduce the measurement errors according to the analysis.Firstly,the basic principle of orifice flowmeter and vortex flowmeter has been introduced.Secondly,factors which affect the accuracy of flowmeter have been analyzed and calculated in detail.Main factors has been considered,including simplification errors,steam density errors,etc.Then,some methods,such as formula correction and error compensation,have been presented on basis of previous analysis.Finally,the measurement errors before and after applying the compensation methods have been calculated.The comparison of the results show that the presented methods have improved the accuracy of flow rate measurement system significantly.The measurement uncertainty has been reduced to 1/3.The research results in this thesis can be used as a reference to reducing the error of flowmeter and improving the accuracy of flow measurement in practical applications. |
