The solar radiation simulator which includes optical system,cooling system and control system is designed and studied in this essay.It is used for simulating sunlight in the aircraft cabin thermal load test system.The optical system was designed firstly.The long-arc xenon lamp was choosed as the light source and optical components such as reflector and glass filter were designed.The distribution of radiation intensity on the aircraft canopy at thermal load design point was calculated.Based on the calculation results and canopy geometry,the spatial structure of xenon lamp was studied.Lighttools software was used to simulate luminescence properties of the solar radiation simulator,and the structure of lamp array was optimized according to the results of simulation.An air cooling system was designed to meet the cooling requirement of the optical system.Calculation results were given to verify the uniformity of flow distribution.A water cooling system was also designed and compared with the air cooling system.The outline of control system was designed based on the technical requirements.The function design of xenon lamp control box was also carried out.The solar radiation simulator was debugged to ensure that it could be applied to the cabin thermal load test system successfully.Tests were conducted to verify the feasibility of this newly designed cooling system.Based on the distribution of radiation intensity on the canopy,the position and angle of xenon lamp were adjusted.At the end,the stability of the entire system was also tested.The research on the solar radiation simulator for a specific type of aircraft has been accomplished in this essay,and some relative tests have been carried out to verify its safety and reliability.The result is valuable for the design of solar radiation simulator in the aircraft cabin thermal load test system.
