Human production and life must be accompanied by material flow.Although material meets human needs, material extraction, processing, manufacturing, use and disposal have different effects on economy, society and environment. In recent years, the construction of ecological civilization has been widely concerned by the state, provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions. It is a hot topic of social research and concern in China. The construction of ecological community is an important cornerstone of the construction of ecological civilization. It is a model of community construction that conforms to the basic national conditions of our country and can promote the construction of ecological civilization more effectively. This paper is based on the research of ecological community under the background of global ecological problems.Through sorting out the relevant theory and practical experience of ecological community, using the method of material flow analysis to describe the process of material metabolism in community ecosystem,it is based on solving the problems of resource waste and environmental damage caused by the linear metabolic model of community. To construct a circulatory metabolic system, the elements of the system and the methods to solve the problems were studied.Taking Xi'an as an example, this paper analyzed the environmental construction in Xi'an,investigated the Fenglin Oasis District in Xi'an,analyzed and rebuilt the circulatory metabolic system in the district, provided ideas and methods for the development of ecological community, and summarized the development direction and key points of the future construction of ecological community in Xi'an.
