Using Traditional Chinese Painting Technique In Xishu Garden

It is true that the ideology of traditional Chinese gardens is supported by the theory of traditional Chinese landscape painting.One of technique expression of traditional Chinese landscape painting called blank-leaving has most important influence on visual aesthetics and the artistic conception of landscape of traditional Chinese garden.Xishu garden is developed with traditional Chinese garden,which means that Xishu garden also is affected by technique expressions of traditional Chinese landscape painting,such as blank-leaving and advanced in aspects of the spirit of landscape,philosophy thought,consisted of painting and etc.Until now,most research on Xishu garden focuses on its' history,elements of landscape,styles of landscape,and aesthetic of landscape and etc.There is little research on Xishu garden that focuses on technique expressions of blank-leaving.In this paper,the necessary of the topic selection is firstly discussed in research backgrounds,the aims of research and the meaning of research.The whole research formulation is made by the combination the research objects and research methods of literature review and promising results.When the relevant conception of Xishu garden and blank-leaving are preliminary interpretation,the development of traditional Chinese landscape painting and traditional Chinese garden will be reviewed,and then summarize the relationship between Xishu garden and them by comparative analysis.When the relationship between them is summarized,blank-leaving will have a deep discussion on aspects of it meanings,expressions and practice.The expression of blank-leaving will be used in the plan composition,the artistic conception,the layout of space and the artistic of painting.Finally,the research investigation will be taken in xishu garden such as the Yanhua pond of Chongzhou,Gui lake of Xindu and East lake of Xinfan to explore the artistic conception,the layout of space,the two-dimensional landscape and the color rending.In order to turn the theory of painting into the theory of gardening,it is necessary to analyst the layout of blank-leaving,the space of blank-leaving,the vertical composition of blank-leaving,nature elements of blank-leaving and artistic conception of landscape.After that,all theory we conclude and design methods we analyzed will be used in the real design project.In conclusion,through the research that mentioned above,the design methods-blank-leaving of traditional Chinese landscape painting and Xishu garden are clean.In order to explore the function of this design method,we use it into practice,and it's turned out this new method fits well with the modern design theory and design methods.
