With the comprehensive development of STATE GRID corporation,the construction of unattended smart substation,the content of smart substation automation system is constantly expanding.Environmental monitoring,lighting control,video monitoring,technical alarm and other business subsystems are included in the automation system of smart substation.It leads to the problems of various kinds of automation information,different communication methods of different subsystems,complex wiring complex,and large workload of the system.The wireless communication technology can effectively reduce the workload of integrated wiring,substation design and construction.It provides an effective solution for the new generation of smart substation automation communication system.Based on the application of smart substation automation system,this paper studies the selection of wireless technology in different application scenarios of smart substation.It introduces and analyzes LPWAN Internet of Things technology suitable for the application of smart substation monitoring.This paper presents a device status of on-line monitoring,mobile inspection and positioning inspection application,and three types of applications such as distributed control and detection system of wireless communication system architecture.In this paper,the experimental test of LoRa wireless spread spectrum module is carried out,and the system structure design,selection of module products,software system design and power circuit design are carried out.Finally,in the environment of the simulated substation,three groups of tests were carried out using the YL-800 IL and YL-900 IL wireless spread module of JX-YL company,including transmission distance test,penetration test and network test.And the data of each group were analyzed.
