As an important carrier vehicle to enter outer space,the normal separation of the rocket fairing is an important step for successful launch.The simulation software is used to conduct the comparison between the analysis results of model establishment and experiments,to verify the feasibility and determine the weak links in the structure,and to design the optimal combination of parameters,so as to carry out the research and development of the structure more quickly and efficiently and reduce the cost.Therefore,the development of fairing technology urgently requires the application of a technical means,which can be used for simple and convenient modeling of different configurations to simulate and analyze the separation process of rocket fairing.In this paper,a new type of platform is established by finite element method to simulate the process of fairing separation.Based on ABAQUS kernel language and script interface,this paper divides the modeling and simulation of the rocket hood separation into three parts,including parametric modeling,dynamic simulation and result view.The whole structure of rocket fairing is decomposed into different parts,mainly including end cap,front cone section,front column section and back column section.The analysis of each component modeling need depending on a parameter,summed up the modeling study hinge fairing and the separation of working process of stress distribution,extract of fairing finite element modeling and simulation analysis of all parameters,geometric parameters including size,material parameters and external load,by using ABAQUS own kernel language made parameterized simulation analysis software,Python the component parts of the model to realize the parametric modeling.The second development of ABAQUS was carried out by using Python language,independent software was established to form a brand-new graphical user interface,and the rapid rebirth of fairing finite element model was realized to improve operating efficiency and save a lot of time and resources.In order to reduce the calculation cost,the finite element model of fairing is established by adopting shell element.For the fairing modeling and analysis by using ABAQUS software,the whole is a multi-body dynamics problem involving relatively many complex contact problems,and the explicit solution method for non-convergence problem is a very effective computational analysis method.By analyzing the modes of the fairing,the dangerous vibration in the separated state can be studied.The separation motion state of rigid fairing is obtained bysimulation,and the modes,separation characteristics and respiration of elastic fairing are analyzed.Meanwhile,the motion characteristics of rigid fairing and elastic fairing under different friction coefficients are analyzed.In this paper,ABAQUS finite element simulation analysis software is used to analyze the fairing separation movement,which will become an important part of the design and accelerate the research and development progress,and some instructive design Suggestions can be put forward for the development of new fairing configuration.
