The Institution Construction Of Urban Regeneration:A Comparative Study Of Guangzhou,Shenzhen And Shanghai

After experiencing the 30-year growth miracle of Reform and Opening Up,China's economic development has entered a period of structural deceleration,and this has caused a comprehensive transformation of social,cultural and spatial development.As a result,urban development has entered a period of transformation from "physical expansion" to "built-up area improvement." Around 2010,under the environment of constraining on resources,many major cities such as Guangzhou,Shenzhen,Shanghai,Beijing and Nanjing have actively carried out policies to enhance urban functions,optimize the industrial structure,and improve the living environment;these cities have made significant progress in the construction of urban regeneration institution,planning,and management.This research select three cities of Guangzhou,Shenzhen,and Shanghai as the research subjects.The urban regeneration institution construction,urban regeneration methods,supporting documents,and urban regeneration practices of the three cities are deeply studied through comparison.It takes the urban regeneration policies of Guangzhou,Shenzhen,and Shanghai as the break through point to analyze the impact of different policy environments on the construction of urban regeneration institution;analyze the urban regeneration methods and clarify the thinking of urban regeneration in the three cities;explore the formation of the urban regeneration institution,the evolution of the core policies in the three cities and the reasons for choosing these policies;compare the differences in institutional settings,urban regeneration management,planning,space management,and policy systems among the three cities;and summarize the implementation status of urban regeneration,and the challenges and reflections on the urban regeneration institution construction in the three cities.Through the cross-comparison of the urban regeneration institution in Guangzhou,Shenzhen,and Shanghai,the research reveals the concrete progress,innovative achievements,potential problems,and directions for improvement of the urban regeneration institution in representative cities in China,and summarizes the experience of the three cities in urban regeneration institution construction,and the possible institutional constriction such institution innovation.The essay aims to to provide reference for urban regeneration institution construction in various places,and proposes directions and references for cracking down on urban regeneration problems in the new era.
