The dwellings were formed in the context of special climatic and social environments,which can basically meet the needs of people's living at that time.However,with the improvement of people's living standards,the dwellings have gradually failed to function.The Turpan area is located in the inland of northwest China.The conditions are quite special,and the economic development is lagging behind.Because the construction time of the residential houses in the area has been very long,the existing dwellings can no longer meet the needs of the local residents' living and rest,and the indoor thermal environment of the dwellings is increasingly unable to meet the needs.The growing demand for comfort.Through literature research,on-site investigation,and indoor physical environment testing,this paper analyzes the problems of Turpan residential houses and conducts simulation research on indoor physical environment.The main research contents include the following three aspects:Firstly,the literature research and field research methods were used to conduct a survey of the current situation of several villages in Turpan.From the three aspects of the overall layout of the village,the layout of the courtyard and the layout of the buildings,the authors summarized the formation of the Turpan houses under special climatic conditions.Spatial morphological characteristics.The typical dwellings were selected as research objects,and on-site mapping was carried out to test the physical parameters such as indoor and outdoor temperature,relative humidity,indoor and outdoor wind environment,indoor lighting and so on.By analyzing these physical environment parameters,it is concluded that the Turpan houses have overheating in summer,lack of corresponding shading measures,indoor ventilation,poor lighting and other problems to be solved.Secondly,with the help of Climate Consultant climate simulation software,the meteorological data of the Turpan area was analyzed,and the climate design strategy and effective time ratio of the residential areas in the area were obtained.Combined with the experience of local residential climate adaptation,comprehensive consideration was made.On the basis of dry and sultry summer,cold winter and large temperature changes in Turpan,the passive design strategy combination and related application time applicable to Turpan houses are proposed,which provides a basis for the inheritance and transformation of local residential houses.Finally,using the computer software Design builder and Phoenices to simulate the effectiveness of the proposed passive design strategy,mainly including the form of suitable sunshade components for residential buildings,with horizontal shades for the south and louver for the east and west.Simulate the influence of night ventilation strategy on the indoor thermal environment of Turpan residential houses,and then verify the feasibility of the above strategy according to the impact on the indoor wind speed after opening the skylight opening.
