| The “Jiangxi to Hu-Guang” immigration movement led to the northeastern Hubei becoming a typical immigrant society during the Ming and Qing Dynasty. The strong ancestor worship promoted the development of the clan, the Ancestral Hall was everywhere, and the frequency of ritual activities were high. This paper takes the northeastern clan ancestral hall as the main research object,Combining the emigration area of the immigrants, and focuses on the influence of the immigration movement on the ancestral hall’s form and ritual space of the northeastern Hubei. The article begins with a review of the immigration architectural culture and the research status of the Clan and the ancestral halls in Hubei and Jiangxi,as the academic basis of this study, and puts forward the research questions: the characteristics of the ancestral halls’ form in the northeast of Hubei and the source and flow of the ritual space.Based on the historical evolution of the immigration movement of “Jiangxi to Hu-Guang”,the specific immigration route of “Northeastern Hubei-Northeastern Jiangxi” was clarified.Based on the analysis of immigrant groups, this paper further demonstrates the impact mechanism of immigration type and immigration population on the ancestral hall’s form in the northeastern Hubei. The type of immigration mainly determines the early development of immigrants, thus affecting the time and scale of the establishment of the ancestral hall;while the development of the size of the immigrant population is the result of the later development of the immigrants. On the one hand, the size of the population determines the level of clan financial resources,on the other hand,it is also a necessary condition for the organization of clan, affecting the plane pattern and scale of the Ancestral Hall. After fully discussing the relationship between immigrant groups and the ancestral hall in northeastern Hubei, the article starts from the other clues of the immigration movement, namely “starting point of migration” and “migratory destination”,analyzing the homosexuality of the ancestral hall in the two places, and exploring the relationship between the northeastern Hubei and the northeastern Jiangxi.Through a systematic investigation of the ritual activities and the ancestral hall’s form of the northeastern Hubei,we divided the ancestral buildings into five aspects: outdoor elements, architectural elements, plane patterns, spatial forms and wooden structures.Analyze the ritual functions of each constituent element, and summarize the basic characteristics of the plane pattern, spatial form and wooden structures. On this basis, the author further analyzes the relationship between the ritual rituals and the spatial forms of the ancestral halls in northeastern Hubei, and divides the ceremonial space of the ancestral halls in northeastern Hubei into two types,“the hall and the temple are separated from each other” and “the hall and the temple are combined into one place”,and combining the space nodes of the ritual ceremony, the ritual content and spatial layout,as well as the relationship between the ritual path and the spatial form, clarify that the ritual path has a certain isomorphic relationship with the ancestral space form.At the same time, based on the emigration of the northeastern Jiangxi, studying its ancestral hall, ritual and space, comparing with the northeastern Hubei, analyzing its identity and difference, and demonstrating the impact of the emigration area on the ancestral halls of northeastern Hubei..This paper collects local historical materials, investigates the form of the ancestral halls and ritual activities in northeastern Hubei and northeastern Jiangxi.Research on two clues from immigrant groups and immigrants,it answers the basic questions about the impact mechanism of the immigration movement on the ancestral halls in northeastern Hubei, summarizing the basic characteristics of the form of the ancestral halls in the northeastern Hubei and the northeastern Jiangxi, and the isomorphic relationship between the ritual and the spatial form of the ancestral hall is demonstrated.Through the comparison of the ancestral halls,we believe that influenced by the immigration movement, the form of the ancestral halls in northeastern Hubei is more simplified than that in the northeastern Jiangxi. Some of the constituent elements are more fixed, not as flexible and diverse as the northeastern Jiangxi. The isomorphism with the spatial form shows a high degree of consistency. |
