Interior Space Leisure-oriented Transformation Design Of Rural Traditional Dwellings In Eastern Sichuan

The rural traditional dwellings,which are mostly accompanied by farmland and mountains,are living space for villagers.They are of great value in terms of history,culture,art etc,but they have not received the same attention as other ancient buildings.With the continuous progress of urbanization,most of the rural dwellings have been occupied,demolished and disappeared,becoming victims.Some of the dwellings are left with broken “shells”,and the excitement and memory of the past are also gone.Climbing vines and wild weeds have replaced the former beauty.Some traditional rural dwellings have been utilized along with the development of leisure agriculture,but they have become “unrecognizable” and the traditional charm has been completely lost due to backward concepts and the lack of culture style and aesthetics.Hollowing out is destined to happen in the countryside where there are only buildings and no industry.If they cannot make a good living,villagers will not feel contented in their position and will go to cities despite of beautiful houses.Therefore,the development of leisure agriculture is an irresistible trend.In the opinion of the author,it is suggested to find the balance between the leisure characteristic industry and the rural traditional residence,and conduct the reasonable leisure-oriented transformation design to the rural dwellings,so as to realize the modern and contemporary value,and contribute to the rural development.In the theses,with the interior space of rural traditional dwellings in eastern Sichuan as a starting point of research,the regional culture background of eastern Sichuan region were summed up from geographic and humanistic aspects.The adaptability characteristic of the interior space of rural traditional dwellings in eastern Sichuan to the regional culture and environment was sorted out.According to the characteristics of the leisure-oriented design,the feasibility analysis was conducted on the application of leisure-oriented transformation in the interior space of rural traditional dwellings in eastern Sichuan.Based on the field investigation,the interior space of rural traditional dwellings in eastern Sichuan analyzed and discussed from three aspects,namely type characteristics,organization layout,and space interface.Thus,the characteristics of the interior space were clarified,which provided the basis for the spatial reconstruction methods in the following part.For the change of family population structure,the mode of production of modern rural residents,as well as the present situation of the leisure industries,and on the basis of study summary on the interior space of rural traditional dwellings in eastern Sichuan,the design principles of leisure-oriented transformation in the interior space were summarized.In addition,the idea of transforming the whole part,local part and details of interior space was proposed from the macro,meso and micro layer.Finally,the design method and the specific form of expression of leisure-oriented transformation were summarized.By combining the personal graduation design,the practice methods of leisure-oriented reconstruction design of rural traditional dwellings was applied in the reconstruction of rural dwellings in Juntian Village,Bishan County,Chongqing.The problems such as insufficient day-lighting and ventilation,and space waste in the interior space of rural traditional dwellings were solved.By turning the theory into practice,the historical value and cultural value of the leisure-oriented transformation in the interior space of rural traditional dwellings in eastern Sichuan were identified.
