Glass materials are widely used in various types of buildings due to their unique transparency,durability and excellent mechanical properties.In which,the laminated glass consists of two or more pieces of glass,and the glass layers are bonded by the middle layer of adhesive material in a special process.Therefore,the laminated glass has good mechanical load-bearing property of glass material and good ductility and energy absorption of the adhesive layer material at the same time.Based those advantages of laminated glass,it has played an increasingly important roleplays in modern architecture and construction.However,the typical brittle failure characteristics of glass present a number of thorny issues to the design and use of laminated glass structures and impact simulation,one of the severe problems is the suddenly brittle failure of glass under impact or concentration load.In last few years,the newly introduced structural design codes in Europe had describe the majority of traditional structural load-bearing materials but there is a lack of information on the design of glass structures.Until these days,the European Normative Committee began to develop a set of design standards describing the design of glass structures,however,there is still a lack of information on the design of glass impact.This thesis aims to analyze and study the performance of laminated glass under impact of hard objects based on the constitutive law and basic mechanics theory of laminated glass materials.It first introduced the existing calculation methods and theory of laminated glass mechanical properties,the design standards of laminated glass and experimental testing as well as the different kinds of simulation At home and abroad.A set of experimental tests were designed and test results were analyzed in detail.The impact simulation models of laminated glass were established,and the accuracy of those models were verified through the typical sample and typical conditions under the simulation results and test results contrast.Furthermore,the impact of glass panel material,thickness,adhesive layer material,laminated glass boundary constraints and impact location on the impact resistance performance of laminated glass was analyzed,which has significant meaning for the engineering design on laminated glass.
