Automobile safety is one of the key issues and drivers of automotive design personnel concerned,side air bags will reduce energy when the side collision accident,the passenger side of the vehicle by the collapse caused the damage,greatly reducing the harm suffered head and chest.However,when the balloon burst point,it will also carry some new impact,in some cases,causing the balloon to open the energy will cause additional impact on passengers,serious and even fatal.Therefore,the side airbag arrangement and optimization of design has become one of the hotspots.Based on a domestic models side airbag,introduced side airbag when passengers under out of position,work on how to reduce the airbag causing additional damage to occupant.Details are as follows:1.Analyze the status of domestic and abroad research of side airbags,in the past sections of the model of data analysis to explain the principles of the protection of the side airbag.It introduces the development of out of position,as well as the role of the current laws and regulations in an out of position assumed.In order to get the best effect of the research,how to choose the appropriate out of position to test.2.For a domestic project being developed,analyzes the design principle of a side airbag.How to arrange side airbag and curtain airbags.Combine LS-Dyna determined by finite element simulation with linear impact test judge whether the design meets the airbag collision safety performance.Then select the critical risk of out of position test.Although studies have shown the air bag can effectively protect passengers,the energy absorption caused by the collision.But rapid airbag inflator,leading to the largest expansion of the airbag,while the corresponding maximum pressure delivered to the passenger's upper body such as the neck and chest,may cause the body to produce new hazards.The damage is also more than the standard value,as defined in out of position.3.Simulation results show that the cause of the damage is too large,and adjust the air bag protection zone,the internal volume,deploy behavior,and airbag folding method key parameters.Finally,validate the improved side airbag under OOP environment.Studies show that the airbag can not only protect passengers in the event of a side impact,but also reduces the impact of additional occupant.Even if some dangerous posture,also play a protective role.
