The interlock protection control system is an important part of the high-current proton accelerator control system,and it is also the technical guarantee for its safe operation.Its stability and reliability have a significant impact on the operating efficiency of the accelerator device.The interlock protection system designed in this paper is mainly for the operation requirements of the Low Energy Accelerator Facility(LEAF).The EPICS distributed software architecture is used to complete the machine safety protection system,personal safety protection system and data archiving system.The latest fast PLC and serial server are used as the hardware core of the LEAF machine safety protection system,and the control network adopts the hierarchical topology structure to realize the collection of various parameters of the accelerator field and the remote monitoring of the status of key equipments.When the controlled device fails,the interlock protection action can be completed within 10 ms to ensure that the accelerator and its attached equipment will not be damaged.In addition,due to the complex electromagnetic environment of the LEAF site,in order to avoid the mis-triggering action caused by the interference signal,the interference signal is filtered from the hardware and software aspects.In terms of radiation safety,in order to protect the personal safety of the accelerator field workers,the personal safety protection system uses a technically reliable key management platform and a flexible PLC controller to protect the radiation safety of the LEAF device.When the accelerator is ready to run,it must ensure that the accelerator site personnel can stay away from the radiation boundary;when there are factors that endanger personal safety,it must ensure that the accelerator operation can be interrupted and the beam can be cut quickly and reliably.To this end,all equipments,which including the channel door,the emergency stop button,the alarm lamp,the key console,the dose detector,and the magnet powersupply,are available to be under online status monitoring and signal interlock through the upper management interface and the underlying device control logic.At the same time,equipment fault location and analysis based on the data archiving system is very essential during the commissioning and operation of the LEAF accelerator.When a equipment failure or radiation accident occurs,the accelerator physicist needs the data archiving system to provide historical data of the relevant equipments to facilitate post-accident processing and cause analysis.Thus two sets of data archiving systems with redundancy were built based on the Channel Archiver or EPICS Archiver Appliance packages in the EPICS software tool.The Channel Archiver software package is released earlier and the client software is more abundant.The new EPICS Archiver Appliance data archiving system uses multi-level storage to retrieve 1 day 1Hz double-precision data in 0.5 seconds.It also provides a web front-end management interface,which allows users to archive PV directly through web pages and query performance indicators such as update frequency and storage rate of each PV.the design,installation and commissioning of the LEAF interlock protection control system,personal radiation safety system and data archiving system have been completed,and are now in online operation.Among them,the PLC controller of the chain protection system adopts a new bus and core processor,and its protection logic processing time can be up to 2ms.The protection logic of the personal radiation safety system is realized by software digital programming,leading to a convenient modification and debugging.The implementation of the above system provides powerful technical support for LEAF beam debugging and experimentation.
