The Internet of Things is already an important technology that has the capacity of revolutionizing our daily lives.However,further development of The Internet of Things relies heavily on how goods are transported speedily and safely.While the bridge crane is a vital equipment in goods transportation in terms of the hoisting,transferring and unloading processes,the design of the reducer,a key component of the bridge crane,affects the working efficiency and reliability of the equipment.There is a variety of reducer designs currently in the market.Each and every design has its advantages and disadvantages depending on the workplace applications.These reducer structures are difficult to meet the requirements of bridge cranes.Based on the analysis of the working condition of bridge crane and the reference of the existing reducer structure,this thesis designs a main reducer structure with better performance,and optimizes its structure.This thesis covers three major evaluation aspects:Firstly,by analysing the pros and cons of the existing planetary reducers,secondary reducers,cycloid reducers,RV reducers and harmonic reducers in the market,and based on the analysis of the working conditions of bridge crane,the three-dimensional structure model of the main reducer is established based on the three-dimensional software SolidWorks.In the process of establishing the three-dimensional model of the main reducer,it is necessary to calculate and solve the important parameters of the mechanism,so as to determine the structural parameters according to the calculation results.Secondly,the dynamic characteristics of the main reducer is analysed and optimised.The static and modal analyses of the main reducer are conducted pertaining to the three-dimensional structure model.Similarly,the reducer's stress-strain nephogram and modal vibration mode diagrams are structured.The dynamic characteristics of the main reducer are the key performance indicators.Because the main reducer is one of the key components for the transmission of speed and torque.The selection of the key structural parameters establishes the mathematical model of the dynamic response optimisation design of the main reducer.Then,the ANSYS Workbench software is utilised for design optimisation.By comparing and analyzing the dynamic analysis results before and after optimization,it can be seen that the performance of the optimized main reducer is better.Lastly,the gear transmission of the main reducer is optimised.Through the parameter calculations and the design flow optimisation,the selection of design variables and the mathematical model of the gear transmission are achieved.With the optimisation toolbox of the MATLAB software,the optimal design parameters of the gear transmission structure are developed,and hence its three-dimensional structure model.
