Research On RBD Space Characteristics And Driving Mechanism Based On Space Syntax

Under the background of urban renewal and development,RBD(Recreational Business District),as a city resident and leisure shopping place for tourists,its research and practice is of great significance for constructing a modern living space with people as the core,enhancing the vitality of the city and promoting economic development.With the continuous advancement of urban double repair work,how to successfully promote the renewal process of the old city(historical block,urban center,etc.)has become a hot issue in the development of Chinese cities.In view of the current problems in RBD space research and urban renewal in China,the Sheffield HOC block was selected as the research object,and the PSPL space research method(Public Space & Public Life)was used to develop the spatial factors of the HOC block and the activities of the space crowd.Based on the Space Syntax model,this paper analyzes the spatial characteristics and driving mechanism of HOC block,and summarizes the spatial development strategies that can be used for reference in HOC block to provide some reference and enlightenment for RBD development in Chinese cities.The main research conclusions of this paper include the following aspects:(1)The overall environment of the HOC block is comfortable and pleasant,but the difference between the development of each space unit leads to uneven distribution of the vitality of the block.The HOC block is dominated by the leisure retail industry.Most of the streets and nodes are pedestrian-friendly spaces.The spatial difference between the frequency of use of consumers and tourists and the spatial distribution of people's space has caused the differentiation of RBD space.Among them,the large drop in human traffic is an important factor leading to the continuous decline of commercial vitality in HOC block,and infrastructure,spatial scale and space design are the main influencing factors affecting the choice of node space.(2)Based on Space Syntax analysis,HOC block as a city RBD has five aspects: high agglomeration development,publicity of leisure street,significant explorability of space,strong correlation between retail industry and accessibility,and vitality of node space to be improved.First of all,on the macro scale of the city,the spatial structure of the HOC block is relatively compact,with good accessibility and passability in organizing traffic and attracting people.However,due to the low spatial intelligence,the HOC block develops the overall space of the city.Secondly,in the middle scale of the block,the analysis of the local syntactic variables shows that the openness and accessibility of most spatial units in the HOC block are better,but there are significant differences between the leisure street and the commuter street.Spatial intelligibility analysis proves that pedestrians in leisure streets are more likely to establish awareness of the overall space of the HOC block from the local space than commuting streets.In addition,the differentiated spatial form formed by the HOC block in the progressive update has different degrees of influence on the pedestrian's exploration activities,and the retail industry is basically distributed in the space with the best pedestrian accessibility,indicating its demand for people flow.And attraction is the strongest.Finally,in the microscopic scale of the node,through the syntactic analysis of the two typical node squares of Millennium Square and Tudor Square,it is considered that the relative isolation of the spatial layout and the excessive confinement of the space design are the important reasons for the sparse flow of nodes.(3)Different subjects have influence on the spatial development of HOC block from three aspects: urban development guidance,market demand promotion and macro-policy regulation and control,forming a space-driven mechanism of multi-coexistence and mutual benefit.Under the guidance of urban development,HOC Street District has enhanced its space vitality through economic and industrial upgrading and improved transportation system.Driven by market demand,population growth has led to the expansion of commercial space.The separation of employment and employment has led to the transfer of commercial centers.New stores such as large shopping malls,modern cultural creativity,leisure and entertainment,and tourism have promoted urban renewal.The overall strategy,especially the cultural revitalization strategy,has laid the development direction of the neighborhood for the spatial planning of the HOC block.The urban design combines the spatial elements such as streets,buildings and landscapes to shape the spatial form of the block.(4)The four spatial development strategies of functional hybrid development,space vitality center,optimization of public walking system and adherence to cultural orientation are the key elements for the successful evolution of HOC block into urban RBD.This is the development mode and cooperation mechanism for Chinese RBD.Space design and policy formulation have positive implications.
