Nuclear power is a huge project.The construction of the project is very difficult.In addition,the cost is high,the profession is wide,the interface is numerous,and the technology is complicated,which causes many engineering management problems.This paper takes a phase I nuclear power project as the research object,and finds the difficulties in the progress management of nuclear power engineering,mainly reflected in the complicated design,the difficulty of equipment manufacturing,the coordination interface of the construction surface and the management of complex schedules.The investment budget of the nuclear power project is 42.4 billion US dollars,and the planned construction period is 56 months,but there are actually overdue and over-expenditure phenomena.In this paper,the main factors affecting the progress of the nuclear power project are calculated by mathematical methods such as fishbone diagram and AHP.First,the immature design leads to a large number of design drawings lag behind the construction progress and frequent design changes seriously affect the progress.Second,the manufacturing quality of key equipment and supply demand can't meet the project schedule requirements.Third,the construction site technology and experience are insufficient,and the participation of the construction side is numerous,the interface is complex,the coordination is difficult.Fourth,the multi-level project schedule lacks effective linkage management methods,and the plan does not achieve progress control.CPM was used to analyze the delay caused by these main reasons.The total delay was 46.5 months,including 16 months for design delay and design change delay,12 months for equipment manufacturing supply delay,9.5 months for site construction management delay and 9 months for other factors.In response to these major problems,management and optimization measures were proposed,including improving design management,strengthening equipment manufacturing process supervision,and optimizing construction management process.Based on this,the application of BIM 4D technology in schedule management was introduced to solve problems in schedule management.In the virtual construction of 4D model,fully utilizing BIM technology can not only avoid delays in the construction period of a nuclear power project,but also shorten the original planned construction period from 56 months to 53 months by logical optimization and save construction cost by 60 million US dollars,which has a significant effect on the progress management of nuclear power projects.This paper has certain practical value and practical significance,and provides experience for the future construction of nuclear power plants,so that the nuclear power technology maintains market competitiveness.
