Study On Project Risk Management For International Thermal Power Plant Construction Contractor Under EPC Mode

Thermal power plant construction projects have large investment scale and long time span.Traditional industrial production and construction management can not meet this demand.In order to make the construction project can meet the safety,quality,progress and efficiency requirements,international development EPC project mode,and EPC general contractor manage the whole process of design,procurement,construction,commissioning and trial run of the of the power plant construction project.However,in the EPC project,the general contractor directly assumes the original responsibility of the owner,and the project general contractor will face great risks.According to the needs of the international construction project,I analyze the project contractor risk source,propose the evaluation method of project risk based on the modern EPC project management and risk management theory,the characteristics of the international thermal power plant construction project on EPC mode,international thermal power plant construction project historical data and the Iraqi(4×310MW+2× 610MW)W thermal power plant construction project risk management.Using the theory of risk management in the international thermal power plant construction in EPC mode,I hope this article could provide management level and enhance competitiveness of the power construction enterprises of our country in the international engineering contract field from the Contractor's view.
