In communication,computer and electronic information products,switching converters are mainly used for the power supply.And with the continuous development of electronic information products,it is also preferred to select a small but high performance switching converter.Because the volume of the switching converter is continuously reduced,the frequency is continuously increased,the heat generation of the magnetic component is also more serious,which seriously affects the reliability of the switching converter,so the study of core loss has become more important.Based on the operating characteristics of switching converter,this paper establishes a practical and well-defined magnetic core loss calculation model,which can accurately predict and calculate the power core loss under different excitation conditions.According to the loss characteristics of magnetic components,firstly,the composition of core loss is analyzed in detail,and the physical mechanism of hysteresis loss,eddy current loss and residual loss are given.Then this paper proposes a sinusoidal core loss separation equation,which only need two sets of sinusoidal excitation data to separte the hysteresis loss and eddy current loss of the core loss under corresponding conditions.Secondly,based on the theory of separation model of magnetic loss,the mathematical formula of core loss of switching converter is derived,and the loss calculation model under different duty ratios when the magnetic core is subjected to rectangular wave excitation is given.The correctness of the calculation model is verified by the actually measured sinusoidal data.Accurate measurement of core loss values is the basis for studying the core loss model.At the end of the paper,several common magnetic loss measurement methods are compared,a sinusoidal excitation core loss test platform is built,and a rectangular wave excitation test platform is built by combining Buck?Boost and ACFC hardware circuits.Taking ferrite magnetic ring TX36/23/15(3F3)and TX25/15/10(3C90)of Ferroxcube as an example,the estimated core loss and measured core loss value are compared to verify the correctness of the prediction model.
