In the actual power circuit,the magnetic components mainly perform functions such as energy storage,electrical isolation,and energy conversion.The selection and design of magnetic components is the most important part in practical power electronics engineering design.With the modern society’s demand for more and more miniaturization and portability of electronic products,switching converters are also trending towards small size and high performance.The most effective way to reduce the component volume is to increase the operating frequency of the switching power supply,but at the same time it brings the core heating problem.This article uses SPICE simulation software to conduct modeling simulation research on the core loss in the switching converter.In this paper,switching converters such as Buck and active-clamp forward converters are used as examples to study the excitation waveforms of power inductors in switching converters,and establish the law that varies with the duty cycle.By combining the physical mechanism of loss such as hysteresis loss and eddy current loss,the mathematical model of magnetic loss of each switching converter is derived.The ABM module based on the SPICE simulation software converts the mathematical model of magnetic loss into a circuit simulation model.This article specifically builds the SPICE magnetic loss model of circuits such as Buck and active clamp forward converters.By setting the number of coil turns and cutoff in the ABM module Area parameters and sinusoidal magnetic loss components,and the duty cycle of the circuit operation,input and output voltage,can be simulated to obtain the relationship between the key variables such as hysteresis loss,eddy current loss and magnetic induction strength and the duty cycle.Precise measurement of core loss is a prerequisite for verifying the accuracy of the proposed SPICE magnetic loss model.In this paper,a sinusoidal magnetic loss measurement system based on the four-wire method and a switching converter magnetic loss measurement system based on the average power measurement method are established.Two ferrite magnetic ring models TX36 / 23/15(3F3)and TX25 / 15/10(3C90)were tested.The simulation results and experimental results basically matched,and the accuracy of the proposed SPICE magnetic loss model was verified.Good engineering application value. |
