Steel plate shear wall is an economical and effective seismic component, which can be combined with frame structure to achieve multiple seismic effects.Whether in scientific research or earthquake disaster, steel plate shear wall structure has good seismic performance. In practice,it is found that the embedded steel plate produces large deformation under transverse and vertical loads, and the tensile force field formed by deformation produces large reaction force on the frame column. As a result, the frame is destroyed and insufficient energy consumption of the embedded steel plate. This phenomenon is particularly evident when the steel plate shear wall is loaded in the weak axis direction.PEC-SPSW structure is formed by taking PEC composite columns with high strength and stiffness as edge members in weak axis direction of thin steel plate shear wal.The effective anchoring effect of PEC columns can enable thin steel plates to form tension fields after buckling,so as to give full play to the postbuckling performance of thin steel plate and improve the seismic capacity of the structure. In order to study the effect of introducing PEC columns on seismic performance of steel plate shear wall structures with weak axis direction, the finite element software ABAQUS is used to simulate 22 model specimens of 1/3 scale structures, and three of them are tested under cyclic loads. The load-displacement curve, hysteretic curve, stress distribution and deformatio n of the structures are obtained. The bearing capacity, stiffness, ductility, energy dissipatio n capacity and deformation of the specimens are analyzed, and the influence of the main parameters on the seismic performance of the structure is analyzed by controlling parameter variables. The results of finite element simulation and test are analyzed and the following conclusions are drawn:(1)Frame-steel plate shear wall structure with PEC column(weak axis)is a superior dual lateral resistance system. The embedded steel plate first buckles and dissipates energy under load. With the increase of load, the PEC column can bear larger horizontal bearing capacity because of its high stiffness and strength,so as to ensure that the overall frame does not deform.Under the effective anchorage of frame with PEC column edge, the tension position is fully formed, which greatly improves the bearing capacity of the structure, achieves the purpose of full energy consumption, and improves the seismic performance of the whole frame structure.(2)The bearing capacity, stiffness and ductility of frame-steel plate shear wall structure with PEC column(weak axis)under unidirectional loading are higher, and the hysteretic curve of the structure obtained under cyclic loading is ful er,and the energy dissipation performance is good.(3)As the main bearing member of the structure, the height-thickness ratio of the embedded steel plate has a greater impact on the seismic performance of the structure.Reducing the height-thickness ratio of the steel plate can significantly improve the ultimate bearing capacity, stiffness, ductility and energy dissipation capacity of the structure.Instal ing stiffe ning plate at the weak axis connection between the embedded steel plate and the PEC column can avoid the stress concentration of the embedded steel plate and improve the mechanic a l properties of the structure.(4)The slenderness ratio of PEC columns and the width-thickness ratio of flange have great influence on the seismic performance of the structure. The smaler the slenderness ratio of PEC column steel, the larger the width-thickness ratio of flange, the better the seismic performance of the structure.Increasing the strength of concrete can improve the strength of edge frame, which is beneficial to the structural performance. When the strength of concrete is higher than that of C40,the improvement of the strength of concrete has little contribution to the structural performance.(5)Through comparison,it is found that there is a gap between numerical simulation and actual test under ideal condition, but the shape of hysteretic curve obtained by experiment and simulation is similar, and the trend of development is consistent with the law.The deformatio n development and stress distribution during the failure process of the specimens are also in good agreement with the results of finite element simulation. It shows the validity of the finite element simulation results, and the results can be used as a reference for practical enginee r ing applications.
