Research On Luoyang Municipal Constraction(1949-1966)

Cities play an important role in promoting social modernization because of their unique functions and status.Municipal construction is an important link in urban construction and development,and the quality of municipal facilities directly affects the development of cities and the lives of citizens.Luoyang as an ancient capital of history,through historical changes,has an indelible role in Chinese history,the People's Republic of China was founded in 1966 after the cultural revolution(1949-1966),Luoyang seized the opportunity of the construction of the emerging industrial city,accelerate the Luoyang municipal construction,make the Luoyang become an emerging industrial city,so the study of this period of Luoyang municipal construction has important significance.Taking the relevant archives of Luoyang city from 1949 to 1966 as research literature,this paper takes the road and bridge construction,public transportation,urban greening,water supply and drainage,flood control and flood prevention,municipal maintenance,city appearance rectification and the interaction with society in the process of municipal construction in Luoyang city as research objects.By sorting out and analyzing these contents,this paper summarizes the characteristics of Luoyang municipal construction in this period,such as the government leading the public participation,paying attention to the protection of historical sites,avoiding the old city and building new city,the adaptation of municipal construction and industrial construction,the cultivation of construction force and the use of foreign aid.The government carried out a reasonable functional layout of Luoyang city,and paid attention to the protection of historical sites in the process of urban development,with equal emphasis on development and protection.At the same time,the government paid attention to the power of the public,stimulated the participation and enthusiasm of the public,which reflected the importance of the people in the process of municipal construction.Through the study of Luoyang municipal construction,help us more specific understanding of the history of Luoyang city construction and development,and provide reference for our municipal construction today.
