New Country Landscape Design In Northwest China That Integrates Regional Cultural Features

The Gully Region of Loess Plateau of Northwest China is located in the intersection of the farming culture and the nomadic culture.These two cultures have integrated with each other for thousands of years;therefore,the traditional villages here have their own unique regional cultural features.However,the rural infrastructure has been reformed locally;the socialist new country “beautiful country”is being built.Consequently,the phenomena of urbanization and similarity of different regions occur in the new country construction of the Gully Region of Loess Plateau of Northwest China,leading to the result that the rural features of this region are lost.This has posed a serious problem before us.Therefore,the new country landscape construction of Northwest China integrating regional cultural features becomes the major solution to the loss of rural features and history & culture fault of the Loess Plateau,having an important realistic significance to the inheritance and protection of the rural regional cultural features of this region.This thesis firstly researches on the regional cultural features of rural areas of Northwest China,then concludes the components of the regional cultural features of new country landscape,and confirms the value and importance of the new country landscape design integrating regional cultural features.Secondly,by presenting the present status of the new country construction of the Gully Region of Loess Plateau,this thesis analyzes the regional features of rural landscape in this regional culture,and concludes the progress and problems of the new country construction in the Gully Region of theLoess Plateau in Northwest China.It explores the strategies of Northwest China new country landscape design integrating regional cultural features and methods of element transformation.Lastly,with the practice of Liuwan Village new country landscape design integrating regional cultural features,we conduct multi-layer analysis,organization and extraction to the natural environment and the regional culture of Liuwan Village,explore the application of regional cultural features in the design of new rural landscape of Liuwan Village,and build it into a tourism village with unique regional features and cultural connotations.I wish that the research of this thesis would provide theoretical support for the new country transformation design of Liuwan Village while rendering reference to the new country landscape design of others regions in the Gully Region of Loess Plateau of Norwest China.
