Plant landscape in urban riverside areas,serving as a component in urban river landscape,plays a significant role in conserving soil and water and preserving river ecology.At present,insufficient attention are paid to river ecological health in most cities.Excessive emphasis on the function of flood control and oversized areas of hard slope protection lead to degeneration of the river ecological functions and poor rover landscape effect.This paper,through various methods,such as literature researches,investigations,case studies etc,From the perspective of landscape design,the author analyzes forms of land landscape design in urban riverside flooded areas,and explores the construction mode which coordinates the river landscape effects and its ecological functions,the main results are as follows:(1)Analyzes and studies how to build a scientific and ecological plant landscape in urban riverside flooded areas.It analyzes the research background and defines and probes into its conception,functions and existing problems.(2)By comparison of brilliant living examples both at home and abroad,we found that there are fundamental problems in the landscape of the riverfront scenery belt,ie,the degree of emphasis is insufficient,the area of hardened area is too much,and the treatment mode is single.Combining the existing research theories,it will guide the theory of landscape design of plants along the riverfront landscape.Based on the combination of theories,the five basic principles of the landscape design of the riverfront scenery belt are summed up,that is,the principles of science,ecology,security,regionality,and humanism;(3)Setting these principles as standpoints,being oriented by ecological science,such as field survey,species selection and landscape configuration.To explore the methods of plant landscape construction that harmonize the river landscape effects with the ecological functions of rivers,and match the rivers’ surrounding environmental factors;(4)Based on the theoretical results of the thesis research,we completed the plant landscape design of the section of the Sanyang Avenue in Liuyang River,Changsha,and analyzed and discussed the methods for the construction of urban landscape scenery along the riverfront.Based on the needs of urban flood control,we focused on river ecology.The environment needs to be protected or repaired to create a riverfront scenery belt plant landscape that stabilizes river ecology,guarantees safe use,integrates regional style,and has aesthetic value.The landscape design of the riverfront scenery belt should be based on meeting the urban flood control standards,adjust the landscape configuration areas and methods according to the changes in the river water,ecologically restore the rivers,reduce artificial hard damage,try to integrate cultural color symbols,and create rich aesthetics.The value of the landscape.It also proposes that research can be conducted from different disciplines and different environmental conditions to expand the depth and breadth of research on the landscape of urban riverfront landscape belts,and achieve coordinated development between urban flood control functions and river landscape ecology.
