Based on computer technology and combining the idea of “software is instrument”,virtual instrument technology accomplishes various testing,measurements and automation applications by means of high-performance modularized hardware and efficient and flexible software.Up to now,virtual instrument technology has come into extensive use in the field of industrial control as well as test and measurement.Besides,the growing network technology has been applied to virtual instruments more and more widely,making distributed measurement,cross-regional control and parallel computing tobe possibility.According to the requirements of the electrical measurement system on a type of special vehicle,based on the test description model of XML and on the Python language,a distributed automated testing framework have been designed in this paper.The mode of sharing the multi-node data and the data visualization in the test network has been analyzed in detail.The main work and achievements of this paper are specified as follows.1.The development of virtual instruments and the current situation at home and abroad were summarized.Besides,the author focuses on the analysis of the possibility and the necessity of networked virtual instruments and carries out discussion on related technologies that may possibly be used.2.Based on the test requirements of a special vehicle,the composition,the workflow and the software requirement of the test system were analyzed.While finding out the composition of the test system and the software requirement,this paper works out the design criteria and the design scheme in a comprehensive way.3.Through reasonable analysis of the system structure and proceeding from the realization of test method,this paper reasonably constructs a test system focusing on power test equipment,signal test equipment and bus test equipment.It also carries out rational planning design and coordination on the hardware selection for each test device in the system,so that all the devices can meet the maximum interface design.4.By using the ATML(Automatic Test Markup Language)test description model,the test description model based on XML(Extensible Markup Language)has been designed.Additionally,the automation test framework combined with the XML test description model and the Python script has been accomplished.5.Usingthe WCF technology and the data socket technology,a communication mechanism that separates remote control and data transmission have been constructed.It makes remote resource access and data transmissionmore reliable.6.Using C# programming language and virtual instrument development tool-Measurement Studio whichisbased on NET platform,many test system functions have been accomplished,such as the automatic testing,remote monitoring,data waveform display,and spectral analysis of power signal.7.Finally,through integration test of the special vehicle of a certain type,the corresponding test results comply with the design index and satisfy the requirement.The test system as researched in this paper,is capable of finishing automatic test,remote data monitoring,data visualized analysis and other items of test,and is characterized by universality and network-based service.At the same time,the system provides a useful reference for the design and realization of similar test systems.
