With the gradual improvement of the level of social motorization and the increasing demand for traffic,the problem of traffic congestion is becoming more and more serious due to the insufficient carrying capacity of urban roads.Although it is urgent to speed up the construction of road traffic infrastructure,it is more important to fully tap the space-time resources based on the efficient use of existing road resources and traffic management and control methods.Taking this as a starting point,this paper studied the traffic control method of setting up dynamic lanes at intersections,which provides a new idea for rational use of intersection space-time resources,improving intersection traffic capacity and reducing vehicle delay at intersections.The dynamic waiting lane control method needs to add pre-signal and pre-stopping line in the upstream of the intersection entrance.The original stopping line is used as the main-stopping line at the dynamic waiting lane entrance.Finally the dynamic waiting lane should be set up between the main-stopping line and the pre-stopping line.By using pre-signal control,the waiting lane can rotate to the through and left-turn traffic flow of the entrance in a cycle,so that the function direction of the waiting lane can be changed dynamically.Firstly,this paper expounded the channelization methods of dynamic waiting lane intersections.Then,the lane and signal control methods of dynamic waiting lane intersection were studied.Lane saturation was proposed as the control index of lane attribute change.The critical conditions triggered by dynamic waiting lane control method and the judgment method of lane control were analyzed.In the aspect of signal control,the phase and phase sequence setting methods of main-signal and pre-signal were discussed.Two phase sequence schemes were put forward and the process of coordinated control of main-signal and pre-signal was described.The researches provided a theoretical basis for delay analysis and signal timing optimization.Then,this paper presented a coordinate control model of the main-signal and pre-signal timing scheme optimization for the intersection with dynamic waiting lane,which aims at minimizing the average delay of the intersection.Firstly,the arrival and departure processes of vehicles at pre-signal and main-signal were analyzed according to the channel mode of dynamic waiting lane entrance.And the calculation method of vehicle delay at dynamic lane intersection was studied.Then the constraints of timing optimization were studied in terms of cycle,green time,saturation,phase difference between main-signal and pre-signal,and traffic capacity.Finally,the optimization model of main-signal and pre-signal timing for dynamic waiting lane intersection was established and the process of solving the optimization of signal timing by genetic algorithm was described.Finally,an example intersection was selected to construct the traffic model of the dynamic waiting lane intersection.The influence of different factors on the optimization results of this control method was analyzed from three aspects: phase sequence scheme of main-signal and presignal,traffic volume in dynamic lane direction,ratio of direct traffic to left-turn traffic volume,which has guiding significance for the study of dynamic standby lane control method.
