Historical Evolution Of Landscape Symbols And Landscape Applications In Chengdu

Chinese cultural symbols have evolved over the ages and are gradually being used in gardens to form products influenced by political,economic,cultural,and social thoughts of the dynasties.Symbols of different periods reflect the situation of social landscape in different periods.Therefore,in the field of local landscape symbols,the historical context of the site is analyzed according to the shape and meaning of the symbols,and the historical development through the projection of the symbols in the present projection is a new direction for the study of landscape history.The Xiqiao Garden in Chengdu has its own characteristics,and it is quite different from the Northern Royal Garden and the private garden in the south of the Yangtze River.Due to the unique regional features of Xiqiao Garden,the richness of local landscape resources,variety of species,and deep cultural heritage,with the development and evolution of the history of Chengdu gardens,a unique native landscape symbol system has been formed.Therefore,it is of great significance to deeply study and analyze the symbolic system of the rural landscape and clarify its context and significance for its rational and extensive use and development in the garden.Based on the field survey of Chengdu’s rural landscape,this article selects individual Xiqiao gardens in Chengdu’s rural landscape as the research area,and combines the space and scene of the site itself to collect local landscape symbols of traditional culture on the site.The scope includes calligraphy,history,poetry,painting,philosophy,thoughts,folklore,and legends.At the same time,the collection of symbols,in-depth analysis,classification,access to information,understanding of the meaning of its final refinement and summative research,deepen the rural landscape of Chengdu Symbols and symbolic understanding of Xiqiao gardens.At the same time,in the traditional Chinese cultural symbols,the local landscape style in Xiqiao Garden was erected to show the application of the traditional cultural symbols in Xiqiao Garden,and the traditional cultural symbols,local landscape symbols,and the guiding significance of Xilu Garden symbols were found.The construction of the environment,especially the urban construction of the Xiqiao area,has special significance and guidance.Throughout history,we will find that from the symbols of ancient times,to the peaks of the feudal society in the Ming and Qing dynasties,there were always some constant themes that continue to this day.These symbols of continuous development are even applied to the landscape and also carry the same appearance.Characteristics,but the connotation of the connotation has changed with the change of each historical dynasty,and was influenced by social thoughts,economic culture,and materials and crafts at that time.It has distinctive historic and regional characteristics.In Xiqiao Garden,after the development of the dynasties,the landscape was influenced by politics,economy,ideology,and culture,and evolved different symbolic forms.This is a rare valuable asset.We should follow this in the subsequent landscape design.The symbol discovery model,continuation of the essence of history,will gradually improve and develop the local landscape symbol.
