Turbochargers can be widely used in airplanes,trucks,buses,cars and micro gas turbine electric generators.Turbochargers can improve engines' efficiency,torque and power.Turbochargers can also cut down engines' pollutions.Because of turbochargers abundant working places and economic values,the research on turbochargers and improvement of turbochargers become very important.This research had been focused on turbocharger blades' stress,deformation,modal characteristics and acoustics properties.Turbocharger blades' motions are caused by the high temperature air,so it is very important to study the fluid field of the turbochargers.This research had studied the pressure field,velocity field and temperature field of turbocharger fluid field.What's more,this research had also studied the turbocharger blades' temperature field.This research had been focused on the stress and deformation of the turbocharger blades.According to mechanical of materials,every material have its own stress limit.If the turbocharger blades' stress surpass the permitted stress limt,turbocharger blades would be dangerous.It is important for engineers to know the turbocharger blades' stress of different working conditions.The turbocharger blades' deformation is also an important physical parameter,because turbocharger blades' deformation under stress impact turbocharger's fluid field.Through minimizing turbocharger blades' deformation,we can stabilize the turbochargers' fluid field.This research had been focused on the turbocharger blades' stress and deformation of different working conditions.This research had studied the modal characteristics of the turbocharger blades.Turbochargers' modal characteristics have a significant influence on the turbochargers.The analysis of turbocharger blades' modal characteristics can help engineers to find the natural frequencies of the turbocharger blades.After that,engineers can change the turbochargers blades' natural frequencies by changing the turbocharger blades' geometry or material.If the turbocharger blades' external forces' frequencies are different from the turbocharger blades' natural frequencies,the turbochareger blades' vibrations and noises can be cut down.The noise characteristics of turbocharger blades are very important.This research studied the turbocharger blades' aerodynamical noise characteristics.This thesis utilized Fluent software to study the broadband noises of turbocharger blades.What's more,this thesis had also simulated the unsteady flow field of the turbochargers based on the simulation of the steady flow field.These simulations helped us to study the far field acoustics properties of the turbocharger blades.
