Study On The Influence Of The Belt And Road Countries’ Trade Facilitation To Chinese Machinery And Electronic Products Export

In recent years,the growth rate of international trade has slowed down,trade protectionism and unilateralism have caused economic globalization to be hindered.The great strategy of “One Belt,One Road” is providing new opportunities for the economic and trade development of China and countries along the route.At the same time,with the reduction of tariffs and non-tariff barriers between countries,the impact of tariffs on trade is weakened.The impact of “trade inefficiency” such as imperfect infrastructure,delays in import and export,etc.on international trade has gradually received widespread attention from the international community.Scholars at home and abroad generally believe that the promotion of trade facilitation will significantly promote trade exports and improve global social welfare.Since Mechanical and electrical products are China’s main export products,there have important practical significance for studying the impact of trade facilitation on the export of China’s mechanical and electrical products to countries along the “Belt and Road”.On the basis of summarizing the domestic and foreign scholars’ research results on trade facilitation,this paper firstly analyzes the current situation of China’s trade facilitation,and the status quo of the China’s export of national mechanical and electrical products to "The Belt and Road" was elaborated.Mechanical and electrical products are the leading products of China’s exports to the countries along the “Belt and Road”,and the export volume of its mechanical and electrical products shows an increasing trend year by year;China’s exports of mechanical and electrical products to the countries along the "belt and road" show an increasing trend in proportion to the total exports of the world’s mechanical and electrical products.China’s top four categories of mechanical and electrical products exported along the “Belt and Road” are the 77 th,76th,74 th and 75 th,with a total share of 78.8% in 2017;China’s main markets for the export of mechanical and electrical products along the “Belt and Road” are ASEAN,West Asia and East Asia,and the main exporting countries are South Korea,India and Vietnam.Secondly,it has built four first-level indicators of port efficiency,customs environment,domestic institutional environment and financial and e-commerce,and set up 18 secondary indicators.By using principal component analysis measures,the trade facilitation level of 51 major trading partners of China along the “Belt and Road” has been measured,and it has been found that the level of trade facilitation development in countries along the route is quite different,and there is still room for each country to enhance the level of trade facilitation.The trade facilitation level of the countries along the belt and road shows a trend of "low middle and high side".In general,the higher the level of economic developments,the higher the level of trade facilitation.China’s trade facilitation development is at the upper and middle levels.Thirdly,based on the trade panel data of the 52 countries along the “Belt and Road” countries in 2011-2017,this paper empirically analyzes the impact of the level of trade facilitation and its various indicators on the export of China’s mechanical and electrical products along the “Belt and Road” countries.The results show that trade facilitation has a significant role in promoting the export trade of China’s mechanical and electrical products.Among them,the port efficiency has the greatest positive impact on trade,followed by the domestic institutional environment,and the finance and e-commerce has the least promotion effect.Finally,this paper puts forward constructive policy recommendations based on the research results,which has strong practical significance.
