Fire trucks,as the most basic mobile fire fighting equipment,play an important role in the increasingly arduous task of fire fighting and rescue;the renewal of their technology and expansion of their functions directly affect the combat effectiveness of fire forces.However,existing fire trucks,when carrying out fire fighting and rescue tasks,depend entirely on the constant attempts and adjustments of firefighters to achieve fire location.This positioning method is not only time-consuming and laborious,but also wastes fire extinguishing agent.In order to make up for the shortcomings of the existing fire trucks and further improve the intelligence of fire rescue,a series of study on fire location technology for fire truck is carried out by using dual-band image of fire,combined with image processing and machine vision technology in this paper.Firstly,based on the principle of infrared imaging and the infrared characteristics of fire flame,infrared camera is used to scan the surrounding environment and collect images.The infrared image sequence is enhanced and segmented by the exponential gray transformation method and the edge threshold segmentation method.According to the number of flame pixels in the segmented images,the approximate position of the fire field relative to the fire truck can be judged.Then,according to the basic characteristics of flame under visible light and the characteristics of fire truck rescue,the brightness,color and roundness of fire flame are selected as criteria to identify and extract the flame area in the image.And the centroid of the largest flame area is used as the initial locating point.Next,by analysising the imaging model and the principle of binocular vision,the binocular camera is calibrated by using the camera calibration method based on MATLAB toolbox,and the stereo matching of fire image pairs is completed by using SGBM algorithm.Combining centroid coordinates with disparity map obtained by matching,the three-dimensional coordinates of initial locating points are calculated.Lastly,a simple fire location system scheme for fire trucks is designed.A small experimental platform is built to verify the feasibility of the system scheme by experiments.And,based on the software platform of MATLAB,the visual interactive interface of the system is designed,which is convenient for firemen to monitor the positioning situation.
