Fires Within the channel of transmission lines and the surrounding have occurred sudden,random,speed,severity and other characteristics.It is become an important factor of transmission line operated safe and stable.How to detect the fire and release policy or measures quickly has become the top priority to prevent the fire of transmission lines,Therefore,to achieve early recognition and rapid fire alarm,play a key role for power company to fighting incipient fires,and control the fire from spreading.Combining infrared thermal imaging together with image processing and recognition technology,this paper introduces a transmission lines mountain fire online monitoring system based on dual spectrum(infrared and visible light)detection through the over-temperature detection alarm of mountain fire infrared thermal imaging and intelligent image identification of visible light mountain fire.This system is capable of making rapid and accurate identification of mountain fire in the surrounding of transmission line,as well as intelligent monitoring and early warning.First of all,we studied thermal infrared sensing technology and discussed the physical basis and principle of infrared detection.By running infrared image over-temperature detection algorithm,we calculated the area and coordinate of the target and sent out warning signal,which was converted into human-visual identification images and graphics for preliminary identification of mountain fire image.Then,the image processing and recognition technology of visible light are studied deeply.By putting forward method of mountain fire image processing and recognition,we used BP neural network mountain fire detection algorithm to complete the identification of mountain fire image,which was finished rapidly based on DSP image processing unit.After that,we developed online monitoring system of transmission lines based on double spectrum detection technology,in order to design the hardware structure of the system.The embedded infrared control technology based on ARM was applied to compress,process,transmit and communicate the images of thermal infrared and visible light,as well as programming the function of each software module.Finally,Test results show that the system has faster recognition speed,high recognition rate,low false alarm rate,strong anti-interference,can be a wide range of application.
