Research On The Interaction Between Water Investment And Economic Development In The Western

With the development strategy of the western and the promotion of the“the Belt and Road”initiative,the economic development in the western has been steadily improved.The investment in conservancy construction will also usher in a critical period.,conservancy construction investment is an effective way to enhance regional vitality,improve ecological environment and promote economic development.So objectively analyzing the relationship between economic development and conservancy construction investment is an urgent problem to be solved.The paper takes the western as an example.The paper quantitatively analyzes the relationship between economic development and conservancy construction investment in the western by the VAR model and impulse response function.The research not only provide a scientific basis for the development strategy of the conservancy industry,but also provide reference for the conservancy construction investment practice.The main results of this study are as follows:(1)Analyzed the status of economic development and conservancy construction investment in the western.Although the national economic proportion of the western in 2002?2016 has a certain gap with the central and eastern,it is also steadily increasing.The three major industrial have shown a significant growth,and There has been a shift from secondary industries into tertiary industry;Most of the funds for conservancy construction investment come from the government,and the total investment is in a state of continuous growth.The investment is mainly based on flood control,irrigation and water supply.(2)Explored the relationship between overall economic development and conservancy construction investment in the western.Firstly,from 2002 to 2016,the economic development of the western has a long-term significant positive impact on the investment of conservancy construction and its sub-projects,which has the greatest impact on the investment of flood control projects.The elasticity coefficient of lagging two periods is 0.2475,and the elasticity coefficient of lagging five periods is 0.0944;Secondly,investment in conservancy construction7 irrigation project,water supply project,hydropower project and investment in soil and water conservation and water ecological management all have long-term significant positive impact on economic development.Water supply project has the greatest impact on it,the elasticity coefficient of three lag periods is 0.1014,and the elasticity coefficient of four lag periods is 0.0236.In addition,the characteristics of flood control project are mainly flood control and disaster reduction,and the direct economic benefit is not prominent.Therefore,from the perspective of macroeconomic increment,investment in flood control proj ect has no significant positive effect on economic development.(3)Studying the relationship between provincial economic development and conservancy construction investment in the western.Firstly,from 2002 to 2016,the economic development of 12 provinces in the western has a long-term significant positive impact on the investment of conservancy construction.Chongqing has the greatest impact,but the elasticity coefficient of lagging three periods is 0.1200,but its investment in conservancy construction is the least dependent on the central government,Gansu has the smallest impact,the elasticity coefficient of lagging seven is 0.0172,but its conservancy construction is the least dependent.Secondly,the investment in conservancy construction in the provinces has a long-term significant impact on the economic,with the largest elastic coefficient of 0.1647 in Guizhou,the smallest elastic coefficient of 0.0288 in Yunnan and the smallest elastic coefficient of 0.0288 in three stages.The elastic coefficients of the two reached the maximum values of 0.0533 and 0.0667 in the five and four lagging periods respectively,but the promotion effect of investment in conservancy construction in Northwest on economic development was greater than that in Southwest.The elastic coefficients of the two regions reached the maximum values of 0.0502 and 0.0401 in the two lagging periods respectively.
